10 awesome Vancouver patios you should hit up this weekend

With nice weather comes that deep primal urge to drink in the sun. At Least for us, it does. And this weekend, and the next week, and hopefully for the next while, we’ve got some pretty decent Vancouver weather. So, we’ve put together a little list of some great Vancouver patios to hit up this weekend. Plus, since you never really know what’s happening with Vancouver’s weather, we’ve included some heated and covered Vancouver patios to keep you safe and cozy!

Electric Bicycle Brewing

This hip Mt. Pleasant brewery is a great place to stop by and check out. Not only do they have some killer microbrews, but their patio is the ideal spot to enjoy some great beer at

Where: 20 East 4th Avenue
When: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Keefer Yard

Throughout the entire pandemic, The Keefer Yard has been bringing the goods, from mini-putt to craft cocktails. This outdoor area on Keefer in Chinatown has great cocktails and a fun atmosphere for anyone wanting to be out in the sun.

Where: 135 Keefer Street
When: 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Seasons in The Park

This might just be Vancouver’s ultimate outdoor dining spot because well, you get to look over Queen Elizabeth Park. And not to mention, you get to enjoy some pretty tasty food as well. So clearly you can’t go wrong here.

Where: Queen Elizabeth Park, 33rd Avenue
Hours: Monday-Saturday 11:30 am-8:30 pm, Sunday 10:30 am-8:30 pm

The Sandbar

This Granville Island mainstay is not only a place for a great meal, but the views at their waterfront patio really can’t be beaten. Enjoy looking out at the beautiful False Creek harbour and soak up the pure Vancouver summer vibes.

Where: 1535 Johnston St. Creekhouse #102
When: 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

East Van Brewing Company

Vancouver has one of the best beer scenes in the country, so we just had to put another local brewery on this list. The East Van Brewing Company not only has a great selection of brews to taste, but they have some delicious food to wash down the beer. We highly recommend it!

Where: 1765 Venables Street
When: 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Per Se Social Corner

This Yaletown spot has a great patio and menu with an Italian focus. So if you’re in the mood for pizza, pasta, and more you can head here for a covered and heated dining experience. Plus you’ll probably get some pretty good people watching in at the same time.

Where: 891 Homer St
Hours: Daily 10 am-10 pm

Dockside

If you’re looking to go all out, Dockside is the place to do it at. Their waterfront patio is hard to beat and the same goes for their food and drink menu. But, be sure to reserve in advance as this is a popular joint, especially when the weather is nice.

Where: 1753 Johnston Street
When: Depends!

Anh and Chi

If you’re looking for delicious Vietnamese food and creative drinks then Anh and Chi is the place for you. This restaurant has a wide menu with both meat and plant-based items and also a great patio space with umbrellas and heating. Seriously, they have you covered.

Hours: Daily 11 am -late
Where: 3388 Main Street

Vij’s

Located on Cambie street, the rooftop patio at Vij’s isn’t so much about the view. Instead, the draw is getting to eat the best Indian in Vancouver outside. The patio has also been covered and heated for the past while, so this is a great option if Vancouver’s weather doesn’t want to play nice.

Hours: Daily lunch 11:30-2:30, Dinner 5:30-late
Where: 3106 Cambie Street

Cardero’s

This one is a double whammy. It’s right smack dab on the water downtown and has a covered and heated patio making it pretty hard to beat. In our books that alone makes it worth the trip. But they’ve also got some special features every Sunday, including a few extra brunch dishes and a delicious prime rib meal for dinner.

Hours: Daily 11:30 am-10 pm
Where: 1583 Coal Harbour Quay

With these 5 recommendations, we hope that you can go and have yourself a great weekend. Heck, we might even see you at one of these patios!
