Wow folks! We’re already looking at the last few days of March. While we figured out what to do for April Fools on our colleagues this year, we’ve got some great activities for you to check out around the city. So, let’s see what’s in store for us over the next few days.

Here are 10 things to do in Edmonton this week.

EATS ON 118TH

It’s the last few days to check out this delicious food festival in the city. The participating restaurants are offering meal deals priced at $15-$25. The list and menus are definitely worth checking out if you’re craving something this week.

When: Ends March 31st
Where: Along Alberta Avenue

HIT THE DRIVING RANGE

The City of Edmonton is gearing up to open the golf courses, and the Victoria Driving Range opened over the weekend! If you’re craving some outdoor fun, then heading down and hitting a few balls might be just what you need.

When: Open throughout the week
Where: 12130 River Valley Road NW
Cost: $6 and up

TAKE YOUR PUP TO THE PARK

Speaking of outdoor fun, we’re sure your dog (or your friend’s dog) is just as excited about the spring as you are. Treat them to a little tour of some of the best dog parks in Edmonton. We’ve rounded up a few of our favourites to help you get started, too.

WATCH THE BATTLE OF ALBERTA

How many battles has it been now, anyway? We don’t know, and we don’t care. All we’re thinking about is how much fun the all-Canadian division has been for the fans this season. Plus, the Oilers have been more than holding their own, and we’d like to see more of that.

When: Friday, April 2nd

HEAD TO THE ZOO

That’s right folks, the Edmonton Public Zoo has officially reopened! While the indoor exhibits are closed for the foreseeable future, you’ll still be able to enjoy all the outdoor ones. Watching red pandas zoom around? Yes please!

When: Now open
Where: 13315 Buena Vista Road
Cost: $10.95 (reduced price)

DO SOME STARGAZING

One great part about the spring? Amazing sunsets and wide-open skies. Make the most of it with a trip to Elk Island National Park- try a trail in the afternoon, then head back to your car for some hot cocoa and a quick peek at the stars above after sunset.

When: Open throughout the week
Where: 54401 Range Road 203, Fort Saskatchewan
Cost: $7.90 for admissions

ENJOY A DOME DINING EXPERIENCE

The latest dome dining experience in Edmonton switches up the chefs each week for extra excitement. If you still haven’t tried dome dining, we think spring might just be the best time to do it. It’s a little cold, but not enough that you’ll be freezing walking from your car to the table.

When: Weekends until April 11th
Where: Victoria Golf Course, 12130 River Valley Rd NW
Cost: $125 per person

CHECK OUT NEW PUBLIC ART

Some absolutely massive inflatable sculptures have arrived in downtown Edmonton. Reaching up to 12 metres high, these gentle giants are a nod to a 1973 animated movie called Fantastic Planet. Check them out as they playfully explore and lounge around.

When: On until April 12th
Where: Locations around downtown Edmonton

AND EVEN MORE NEW PUBLIC ART

Fantastic Planet isn’t the only public art installation we think you should check out this week. There’s also wâpos, which has transformed Beaver Hills House Park into an amazing walk-through experience. wâpos means rabbit in Cree, so expect some stunning illuminated sculptures.

When: Open throughout the week
Where: 10440 Jasper Avenue
Cost: Free with online reservation

That’s our roundup for you this week, folks! We hope that you enjoy it.
