Another week at home is in the books! What books, exactly? We’re not sure. But we made it through and now it’s time for the weekend. ACTIVETO

ActiveTO returns this weekend with a new street in the mix. That’s right, Lakeshore Blvd West will be joining in on the road closures. If you haven’t taken advantage of this city program yet, we’ve got to recommend it. It’s a fabulous way to get out and get active with plenty of room to stay spaced out. Plus, there are soaring temps in store this weekend o now’s a great time to enjoy ’em.

This amazing community-based festival is all about sharing new works by a diverse and broad range of local artists. They take on art and activism, with programming centred around bold and insightful takes on current issues. SCOTIABANK CONTACT PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL

Another great online art festival to hit is the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival. This amazing virtual event is showcasing, you guessed it, photography from a ton of Canadian and international artists. Similar to Mayworks, they’re not afraid to tackle the big issues with bold and beautiful pieces of work.

Another online art exhibit, this next pick is a sign of the times. Literally. You can explore a collection of portraits this week, centered around the theme of, you guessed it, current events. TORONTO COMIC ARTS FESTIVAL

Want to learn a little more about comic arts? You can tune in online for the Toronto Comic Arts Festival. Festivals, festivals, festivals. Head online for another festival that’s wrapping up this weekend. It’s the Toronto Storytelling Festival and it’s all about, you guessed it, storytelling. Log on to hear voices of earth, air, water, and fire as the city honours First Nations people who are keeping the oral tradition alive.

STOP BY THE FARMERS MARKET

Need a little fresh air? Step out to one of Toronto’s many gorgeous farmers’ markets (with your mask and hand sanny at the ready of course).
