So, we have put together a run-down of places to grab a scenic patio brunch in Vancouver this weekend. What’s better than mimosas in the sun? Trick question because nothing is.

If you like a sweet treat in the morning, stopping by Livia is a must. They’re fitted out with not only some great brunch options, but more delicious sweet treats than you can shake a stick at. So go out and indulge your sweet tooth with your bubble.

Hours: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (to 5 p.m. on Bakery Tuesday)

Marché Mon Pitou

The French have perfected eating and Mon Pitou is the place to get into some great French food in Vancouver. Try their Espresso and Tonics or a delicious Tartine Provençal this weekend. You will not be disappointed!

Where: 1387 West 7th Avenue
Hours: Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.


Scandinavian food is more than just fish, believe it or not. This is exactly why you need to check out Scandilicious (Scandinavian + delicious) as soon as possible. They have a great selection of brunch options including a whole lot of waffles for you to enjoy in the sun.

Where: 25 Victoria Drive
Hours: Tuesday to Friday 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Cafe Medina

You can’t have a brunch run-down without including Cafe Medina. This is one of the most popular brunch places in the city for a reason. They have all the brunch classic you could ever want and a great patio to boot.

Where: 780 Richards Street
Hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day

Beaucoup Bakery & Cafe

Beaucoup lives up to its name because every time we eat there we end up eating beaucoup food. While this killer place doesn’t have devoted patio dining, it’s well-worth ordering some take-out, walk around Kits and enjoy the sunshine.

Hours: Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Named after the tastiest part of the egg, Yolks is a great place to stop by if you’re an egghead. With a heated and covered patio at their Hasting’s location, it’s a great option to check out even if the weather decides to turn on you.

The Birds and The Beets

A cozy atmosphere? Check. Great food? Check. Patio dining? Once again, Check. The Birds and the Beets is a great place to check out to get that brunch fix in. We will also add the other day they made homemade pop tarts, which we’re praying they do again.

Joe Fortes Seafood & Chop House

One of the most classic Vancouver restaurants has a great brunch menu, as well as a wonderful outdoor garden oasis that’s open when the weather permits. Joe’s has been around for such a long time for a reason, so you gotta check it out if you haven’t before. Just check in with their social media about reservations and updates on availability.

Where: 777 Thurlow Street
Hours: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day

OEB Restaurant

Located in Yaletown right next to the water, there are few more beautiful places to enjoy a brunch date with your bubble. This restaurant, part of a larger chain, has every brunch dish you could ask for and is a must-visit on location alone!

Where: 1137 Marinaside Crescent
Hours: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily

Batard Bakery

For us, brunch is just an excuse to eat a whole lot of carbs and Batard Bakery on Fraser Street is the perfect place for just that. Grab some treats, savoury or sweet, and a coffee and find a nice East Van park to hang out in. There are worse ways to spend a Sunday.
