We’ve got a real rollercoaster of weather to look forward to Edmonton, complete with highs, lows, and maybe even a little rain to sing in. But, no matter what, one thing we know for sure is that it’s shaping up to be a good one! And we’ve got all the options to make it so.

Here are the best things to do in Edmonton this weekend.

SWAN LAKE

Alberta Ballet is back with a bang and what better performance to kick things off with than the world premiere of Christopher Anderson’s Swan Lake, a story of romance, sorcery and triumph. For tickets check out the link above and enjoy!

CITADEL THEATRE

Speaking of live entertainment, another option lands in Edmonton this weekend! The World War II-era rom-com The Fiancee kicks off November 6th for a 5-week run, covering the story of a woman who gets engaged with a few different men as they head off to war.

EDMONTON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

For those craving something even more refined, the ESO has got you covered. The renowned orchestra will be covering Mozart (mixed with some trumpet) this week. Great if paired with a treat yourself dinner before or after.

LASER FLOYD: DARK SIDE OF THE MOON

And now, for something a little more lowbrow, but easily just as enjoyable. This weekend the Zeidler Dome at the Telus World of Science brings back its laser shows, kicking off with the most iconic soundtrack of them all- Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon.

EDMONTON OILERS

The Oilers complete a 3 home game stint this Friday, facing off against the New York Rangers. The Oilers have had a tremendous start to the season, but the Rangers are definitely worthy adversaries. In short? It’s going to be a great game, especially when the Oilers win it.

EDMONTON ELKS

The Elks have their final home game of the regular season this week. They are, sadly, more or less out of playoffs contention, but we still think this is a great option for the sports fans out there. Remember, you’re only as good as the last game you play!

When: Friday, November 5th
Where: 11000 Stadium Road
Cost: $35+

GEEKY GIFT MARKET

MUTTART CONSERVATORY

It’s nice to know that Edmonton has its own slice of summer, thanks to the Muttart Conservatory. This indoor botanical garden is the perfect place to unwind after a long day, or relax with a friend during the weekend. Either way, it’s sure to get more and more popular as temperatures drop.
