Best news ever! Toronto Animal Services recently announced they are lowering adoption fees on dogs – but there’s a catch. The Good Dogs Bad Names program is a hilarious way to find a new furry friend with a bad name, give them a home and a better name all for a lower price.

According to a social media post from Toronto Animal Services, “Our dogs all have weird, terrible names and they need YOU to fix it!”

From now until May 5 the adoption fee for Toronto Animal Services dogs is lowered to $50, with TAS stating, “Not only will you give a dog a much better name AND a loving home, but you’ll be making space for more animals who need our help!”

It’s a win-win.

If you’re thinking to yourself, “how bad could the names really be?” then here’s a sneak peek at what some of the dogs are currently named:

  • Hummus
  • Roomba
  • Baywatch Nights
  • Amoeba
  • Lil Puddin Boy
  • The Sea and her Mysteries
  • Warm Buttered Yams

You can find a full list of the dogs that are up for adoption here.

Don’t hesitate as the $50 adoption fee offer is only running until May 5th.

Hopefully you’re able to give a furry friend a new home and name, Toronto!
