$3 fries & gravy: Zellers to roll out its food trucks this week & here’s when its coming to you

If you’re just like us and have been waiting to find out when you can finally sink your teeth into the delicacies of our favourite 90s diner, the wait is now over. The Zellers Diner on Wheels is pulling up to Ontario and Alberta locations as early as this week. Here’s everything you need to know.

When we first found out that the iconic Canadian brand would be bringing back its beloved diner, we couldn’t help but get excited. Though it may not be in the way we expected, Zellers announced it would bring its diner food to Canadians in the form of a food truck aka The Zellers Diner on Wheels.

And in exciting news, it will be stopping at the first round of stores set to open this week in Ontario and Alberta. Here’s when you can expect The Zellers Diner on Wheels in your neck of the woods:

Make sure to stop by between the hours of 11:30 AM to 5:30 PM on the specified dates.

It’s set to pull into the rest of its locations across the country once they begin to open and will “serve shoppers with some fan favourites from the fondly remembered Zellers Family Restaurant.”

And as for the goodies on the menu, prices start at $3 for fries & gravy and grilled cheese, and go up to $7 for chicken fingers. The Big Z Burger and Hot Chicken Sandwich are priced at $6 – you can literally get a full meal for under $10.

Drinks are an extra dollar and fries are for $2.

Ahhh… the nostalgia of inexpensive food.
