Your selfie could be part of a giant new mural in downtown Vancouver

At the start of April, Vancouver is going to get a huge new mosaic mural in one of the city’s busiest intersections, and your selfie can be on it! The best part? The new project is actually a fundraiser for the St. Paul’s Foundation. Here’s a little more info.

The Foundation has partnered with artist Andrea Wan to create the piece. The mosaic will be a whopping 60 feet by 20 feet in size, and will hopefully feature 10,000 selfies. Basically, each seflie represents a pixel in the art. And, it will come alive through augmented reality technology.

The artwork will be located at the intersection of Georgia and Granville, above the London Drugs on the southeast corner. So, it might just take the prize as one of the most prominent locations for public art in the city.

And once again, 100% of the donations will be going towards to St. Paul’s Foundation. Each minimum donation of $5 gets you a selfie, so, make the most of it!
