You can get FREE stuff and sweet deals just by biking around Vancouver this week

Cyclists rejoice, because HUB Cycling’s annual Bike to Shop event returns to the city this week! For the next two weeks or so, you’ll be able to enjoy both free stuff and sweet deals, and all you need to do is register (also for free)! Here’s what to know.

Each year, HUB Cycling gets businesses from around Metro Vancouver to help encourage people to use their bikes for shopping. No really, it’s that simple, which is also why it’s genius. In fact, there are over 100 local businesses joining for this year, ranging from West Van to UBC and even as far as Langley.

It could be a free coffee from Harken or JJ Bean, or a discount on groceries at Whole Foods. Heck, you can even pull up to a few local breweries and get a discount on a cold pint. Which, admittedly, is the first thing we’re putting on our ‘to-bike’ list.

Meanwhile, HUB Cycling will also be setting up ‘Knowledge Hubs’ around the city during the event. These are kind of the main attractions, since visitors can get free routine maintenance on their bikes, snacks, and enter prizes for gift cards to local businesses.

Vancouver is maybe ground zero for the resurgence of the cycling wave in Canada. And now, we can be rewarded for it! For more info, just click the link below.
