The first ever YEG Ice Fest goes down in Edmonton this week, and that’s a ton to look forward to. You’ve only got Saturday to check it out though, so here’s what to know if you’re thinking of going.

Hosted by the ACC Ice Wall alongside the Edmonton Ski Club and Factory Climbing, YEG Ice Fest offers a full day of activities. You can enjoy some food trucks, grab a beer at the SYC Brewing Patio, and even learn something new at a climbing clinic. However, the biggest draw will definitely be the free stuff.

That’s because both ice climbing and fat biking trials will be free to try! The Ice Wall will open things up all day long from 10AM-9PM, while Mud Sweat & Gears will be demoing ice biking from 10AM-4PM. Whichever you pick, you’re in for some seriously fun (and free) options if you happen to swing by.

So hit up your adventurous pals, and make sure to check out this amazing new festival coming to the city!
