The temperature outside might be on the higher side, but the air around Rogers Place is chill AF, thanks to the coolest (literally) summer games ever. Enter: the 2022 IIHF World Juniors Championship.
You really have to be living under a rock if you haven’t noticed that the World Juniors Championship is going down in summer this year. And while the championship’s OG month and season might have changed, Team Canada’s performance continues to be as amazing as ever. With every victory, they’ve been inching close to gold.
After doubling up 6-3 against Switzerland in the quarterfinals, Team Canada extended their winning streak to five games. Now they will face Czechia in this afternoon’s semifinal at 2 p.m. with a spot in Saturday’s gold medal game on the line. . But here’s the best part— you can witness this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of Canada playing for gold in summer. And you can do so without breaking your wallet!
Tickets are available for as low as $50 for the gold medal game. Meaning that it’s easier than ever to catch Team Canada live in action and cheer them on.
It now seems like an apt time to proudly wear our love for the game on our sleeve. We couldn’t find a better way to spend the bucks we saved from the Oilers’ elimination.
