There’s a pretty big birthday happening in Calgary today! Willow Park Wines and Spirits is celebrating its 27th anniversary, and we’re pretty excited for them to say the least. If businesses could be considered famous landmarks, they’d be taking home one of the titles in Calgary. In addition to great savings, Willow Park Wines and Spirits will be donating $1.27 of every bottle to the Bartenders Benevolent Fund. In case you’re not familiar with them, the Bartenders Benevolent Fund is a nationally registered non-profit organization dedicated to supporting hospitality workers in Canada. Obviously, this year has taken a toll on so many professions, and knowing the impact it’s had on hospitality industry workers, Willow Park Wines and Spirits is looking to support an industry so closely tied to their own. Since founding The Vintage Fund in 2001, in order to directly support local charity organizations, Willow Park Wines and Spirits has raised over $5 million dollars! So when we say this is an organization who likes to give back, you know we’re not messing around!
Today might be the company’s birthday but it also marks another special cause to celebrate. Having led the organization to where it is today, Willow Park Wines and Spirits is also celebrating International Women’s Day by giving special recognition to the company’s very own President, Peggy Perry who has been leading the team at Willow Park since 1994.
