After months of planning, King Charles III will formally ascend the throne in a traditional ceremony at Westminster Abbey, but when and where can you watch the coronation in Canada?

Featuring fellow monarchs and global leaders, this historic event will take place Saturday, May 6th, 2023 at 11 am in London or 3 am PT.

Though it’s expected to be more ‘toned down’ than that of Queen Elizabeth II 70 years ago, the King’s coronation will include a grand procession through the streets of London and a flypast outside of the Iconic Buckingham Palace.

Want to join thousands across the world in watching it?

In addition to a live stream on BBC, the two-hour event will also be broadcast live by CBC and CTV (starting at 1 am PT) and Global at 2 am PT, so set your alarms.

It’s going to be an early one – but this kind of thing only really happens once or twice in a lifetime.

If however, you don’t want to get up before 5 am to watch the coronation of the King, Canada will also be holding several commemorative events of their own for those who would like to get involved.

It’s going to be a big day and those who are fascinated by the royals won’t want to miss it. Enjoy and happy viewing!
