These Ontario parks will have peak fall colours this Thanksgiving weekend

We’ve got a long weekend coming up! If you’re wondering where to see fall colours in Ontario this Thanksgiving weekend, we’ve got exactly what you’re looking for.

According to the fall colour map by Ontario Parks, many parks are starting to reach their peak for the season.

That means that provincial parks all over Ontario are entering the most vibrant phase of their autumn landscapes.

That’s based on the fall colour report of every park, which informs visitors about the best viewing opportunities.

The map determines the colour of each region by averaging all parks within that area and then assigns each park a colour based on how much the leaves have changed there.

According to the map, these provincial parks are 80% to 100% of the way into their peak colour change of the season.

  • Lake Superior Provincial Park
  • Kettle Lakes Provincial Park
  • Algonquin Provincial Park
  • Grundy Lake Provincial Park
  • Quetico Provincial Park
  • Rushing River Provincial Park
