If you live in Toronto there’s a good chance you’ve walked past a film set before. The city is the backdrop of several popular shows and movies so it’s no surprise there’s a whole slew of productions filming in Toronto during the month of September.

Here’s what you can keep your eyes peeled for.

Tall Pines

Tall Pines is a thriller limited series by Mae Martin.

According to Martin, “Tall Pines is a story I’ve been dying to tell for years, and I’m beyond excited for people to see what we have in store! It’s going to be an insane roller coaster and so different to anything I’ve done before. Very very grateful to Netflix for supporting it, and I can’t wait to get going.”

Filming is underway in Toronto from now until October 21st.

Law & Order Toronto

Dun dun! Law & Order is back for season two!

The popular crime series released season one of the new series based in Toronto in early 2024 and now, filming for the second season is underway and will continue until November.

I wonder which Toronto spots and stories we’ll be seeing?

Twisted Metal 

This post-apocalyptic action-comedy TV series is also back for a second season.

Will Arnett and Anthony Mackie are just a couple of the big names in this series which is filming from now until mid-November.

Ripple

Hallmark is filming a “one-hour drama series” in Toronto.

The story brings the audience along to witness the ripple effect of how four strangers, all dealing with life’s challenges in their own way, are led to one another based on the small decisions they make in their day-to-day lives.

Devil in Disguise 

Peacock’s limited series about American serial killer John Wayne Gacy has started filming in Toronto recently!

Filming for this series will take place until the new year meaning from now until then they’ll be able to take advantage of Toronto’s fall and winter weather to set the scene for what’s sure to be a scary series.

When: Filming now – February 2025

Murdoch Mysteries 

Season 18 is ready to go! Murdoch Mysteries is a Canadian classic – a series of stories taking place in Toronto during the 1890s and early 1900s.

Filming has started, going all the way into February 2025 around Toronto.

Ivory Tower

According to the Film & Television Industry Alliance, Ivory Tower is a series following a secretive Internal Affairs division in the LAPD.

Toronto seems to be a popular place for mystery, crime and horror shows and movies! Filming is underway from now until February.
