What to expect on the Red Mile during the Battle of Alberta

Well folks, Game 2 of the Battle of Alberta is around the corner, and with the Red Lot closed, the Red Mile is going to be absolutely jumping. Thinking of heading down there? Here’s what to know before you go.

First and foremost- while it might seem like it, know that consuming alcohol on the Red Mile is still restricted to licensed establishments. What’s more, there will be an increased police and peace officer presence, so tryna skirt the rules might not end well.

As for parking, it will be banned from Macleod Trail to 10th Street SW starting at 6PM. So, if you arrive and are surprised at how easy it is to find parking, you might want to move a couple of streets north or south first. But, we suggest either taking an Uber or using public transit for extra peace of mind.

And finally, there should be some live entertainment in the area before the game too! Details on this are still to come, but it has been promised by the city of Calgary.

That’s pretty much the lowdown on what to expect on the Red Mile in Calgary for this series! Hopefully, we’ll see another win and even more celebrations after!
