Western Canada’s first & only Hobbiton-themed resort to open in Alberta this year

Alberta has some unreal places to see, some crazy things to do, and a few wild places where you can stay – however, many of them pale in comparison to what Good Knights, a local entertainment and experience company, has in store for its visitors this summer. Assuming that you’re a Lord Of the Rings fan, The Burrows, Western Canada’s first-ever replica resort of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Hobbiton, will be by far one of the coolest places to stay this sunny season.

Despite having been delayed several times because of weather and COVID, the Bluebell Burrow, the first of many underground retreats in their fantastical Three Hills village, is set to open on September 22nd.

With enough room to accommodate two adults, complimentary breakfasts, a private garden, an indoor fireplace – and our favourite feature – a closet full of themed clothing, we can honestly say that this will be like nothing we’ve ever seen before and that’s something worth celebrating!

On opening day, the organization will actually host an entire Hobbit-themed day as a way to say thank you to the public for their support through everything in the last few years.

According to the official statement, the event will have “enough food to fill even the hungriest Halfling,” and will feature games and more!

As for a time and more information, the Good Knight’s have yet to release anything further but you can bet your bottom dollar that we’ll be keeping an eye on this one.
