Soak up the sun: Here’s when Ontario’s water parks open this season

Water parks are possibly the best way to stay cool during these upcoming summer months and thankfully Ontario is full of them. From east to west, there are a number of water parks in Ontario worth enjoying and we’ve compiled a little list of the best around.

Though they’re not open yet, you can still purchase your tickets if you plan on making the trip.

And trust us, they are worth it. ESPECIALLY on a hot summer day.

Bingeman’s Big Splash

Located in Kitchener, Bingeman’s Big Splash isn’t only JUST a water park, but it also has a mini-golf, beach volleyball, an indoor playland, a bowling lounge, and much more.

It’s also home to the first and largest wave pool in the Waterloo region.

When: Opens June 22nd, 2024

Calypso Waterpark

Just east of Ottawa is where you’ll find this spot. Though it will require a road trip if you’re coming from Toronto, it’s worth the adventure.

Calypso is the biggest theme waterpark in Canada, so if aquatic fun is what you’re after, this is the place to be.

There are 35 slides, 100 water games, and two theme rivers at this spot, as well as VIP zones and restaurants. The fun doesn’t stop!

SplashWorks at Canada’s Wonderland

Canada’s premier amusement park has its very own water park, called SplashWorks, and it is full of aquatic attractions.

SplashWorks has a brand new cliff-jumping attraction called Mountain Bay Cliffs, along with Canada’s largest outdoor wave pool, 17 water slides, and a Lazy River.

Wet n’ Wild

This 100-acre waterpark in Brampton boasts endless attractions, including gravity-defying tunnels, thrilling free-fall chutes, towering slides with epic twists and turns, and even a lazy river.

Wibit Water Parks by Splash ON

Canada’s largest inflatable waterpark, created by Splash ON, is coming back to a beach less than 90 minutes north of Toronto.

This experience is described as a “giant floating playground known as the most interactive water experience” that our province has to offer.

This floating playground will feature climbing walls, monkey bars, swings, slides, trampolines, balance beams, and fun-filled obstacles of all kinds.
