This special holiday train in Ontario has ride options for families and adults

There’s something extra magical about the holiday trains. If you’ve never seen one or been on one before, this is the year you change that. Waterloo Central Railway is offering daytime and evening rides to the “North Pole,” and there’s even a special Nightcap train for those 19 and over.
Let’s break down the three train ride options you can choose from.
The Merry Mission Dayliner
This daytime train runs for 60 minutes and is perfect for families. The experience includes a Christmas-themed scavenger hunt, and of course, Santa will be aboard!
Boarding takes place at WCR Farmers’ Market Station, at 330 Farmers Market Rd. between the St. Jacobs Farmers Market and the Value Village Shopping Centre.
There are coach and lounge car seating tickets available, with coach starting at $30.99 and lounge starting at $50.99.
Rides run on Saturdays and Sundays starting Nov. 15, and daily from Dec. 20 to 23.
Christmas Cheerlight Charter
The Christmas Cheerlight Charter comes out when the sun goes down.
This evening ride includes holiday tunes, singing, and the coziest vibes.
There are coach and lounge car seating tickets available, with coach starting at $45.99 and lounge starting at $65.99.
Rides run Thursdays to Sundays starting Nov. 15, and daily from Dec. 18 to 23.
Santa’s Nightcap (19+)
Leave the kids at home for this one.
Santa’s Nightcap is a 19+ train ride with sips, holiday cheer, and some festive swag to take home.
There are coach and lounge car seating tickets available, with coach starting at $55.99 and lounge starting at $75.99.
Rides run Fridays and Saturdays starting Nov. 21, and daily on Dec. 19, 20, 22, and 23.
Seating on all trains is limited, so you’re going to want to book your spots ASAP.
All passengers are encouraged to wear their Christmas PJs or “ugly Christmas sweaters” aboard.
