A water lantern festival is set to light up Seattle this fall

Have you ever wanted to watch Green Lake come to life with thousands of lit up paper lanterns? Well, you’re in luck because this fall the Water Lantern Festival will be taking place over two days in Seattle.

The Water Lantern Festival will be on Saturday, October 12th and Sunday, October 13th, and invites Seattleites to come together to “create a peaceful, memorable experience.”

Your admission to the festival includes the following: wristbands for entry and access to food trucks, a floating lantern kit, LED candle, Commemorative drawstring bag, marker, playing cards, as well as lantern retrieval and water clean up.

It’s worth noting that the admission price also covers the cost of cleaning up and removing the lanterns from the lake following the event.

If you’d like to purchase tickets you can do so now. Keep in mind, prices will steadily increase until the day of – when tickets will be at the highest cost.
