Washington’s oldest hotel is the perfect cozy winter getaway spot

If you’re looking to get out of the city and experience something totally new without leaving the state, we have a destination for you. It’s the cute and cozy Tokeland Hotel, which just so happens to be Washington’s oldest hotel. It also happens to be where Seattle’s iconic Wandering Goose reopened.

The Tokeland Hotel was built in 1885 as a home and haven for travelers by the Kindred family. It’s situated on the Olympic Coast meaning you’ll have stunning views to look out on and plenty of nature to explore.

The hotel today retains much of its homestead charm thanks to its antique decor and Victorian-era design. Not to mention, the hotel strives to provide visitors with warm hospitality, diverse art and entertainment, fine dining, and restful lodging. As a small and truly homey hotel, it’s a perfect getaway destination for a cozy winter weekend.

The hotel has 18 rooms that fit between 2-4 guests with nightly prices starting at $116. The hotel also happens to be “good dog” and “good kid” friendly so you might just want to bring your four-legged friend along for the adventure. After all, with all the nearby coastline, they’ll have plenty of space to roam on leash.

In order to make your stay more unique, you can partake in all sorts of seasonal fun. Some of the best things you can do during winter include surfing, razor clamming, storm watching, and much more.

Happy travels!
