The first public floating sauna in Washington is just outside Seattle

On the tranquil waters of Lake Washington, down along the marina, you’ll find… a sauna?! That’s right, Washington’s first public floating sauna is only a short jaunt from Seattle, and it’s next-level relaxation.
Von Sauna is located in Kirkland, Washington, perched at the marina at Carillon Point. It’s so unassuming you might not even notice it at first. But if you approach you’ll discover a luxury sauna experience with unmatched views of the lake.

So why a floating sauna? According to Von Sauna, their mission is to “provide an accessible way for people to reconnect with nature and with each other through the magic of authentic sauna and natural cold plunge.”
What better way to do that than to bring the sauna right to the lake? Enjoy sumptuous wood-burning heat contrasted with the cool serenity of Lake Washington. If you’re brave enough, you can even take a plunge in the lake before returning to the sauna’s heat.
What’s Included
Make sure to bring your own swimsuits, towels, and reusable water bottles to stay hydrated! The sauna has a changing room with small lockers to store your belongings and there are public restrooms on site.
The sauna experience includes filtered drinking water to refill your water bottle, essential oils for aromatherapy, and wood-fired heat. The floating sauna offers access to plunge in Lake Washington, but if you don’t want to swim, there is also a bucket on a rope so you can still take advantage of the cold water therapy.
How To Book
Von Sauna offers both a social and private experience upon booking. Reserve a seat for $40 for a 75-minute Social Sauna session. That gives you enough time to cycle between the sauna heat and the cold water roughly three times. It’s also a great opportunity to make some new friends!
Daily time slots are available at 7 AM, 8:30 AM, 10 AM, 11:30 AM, 1 PM, 2:30 PM, 4 PM, and 5:30 PM.
If you’d like a solo or small group experience you can also book a Private Sauna session. This will cost you $700 for 2.5 hours which gives you plenty of time to cycle between hot and cold. It’s a great way to make the experience your own or connect with your group of friends. The sauna has room for up to 12 people, so there’s no need to skimp on invites!
Daily time slots are 7 AM, 8:30 AM, 10 AM, 11:30 AM, 1 PM, 2:30 PM, and 4 PM.
You can book your preferred sauna experience online with Von Sauna’s easy calendar system that shows you dates, seats, and availability.
