Washington is home to the longest beach in the U.S.

Love long walks on the beach? Well, Washington is the place to be because our state is actually home to the longest beach in the U.S.

Located on Washington’s southwest corner, not only is the Long Beach Peninsula the longest beach in the USA, it is an area with rich history, charming beach villages, and adventure!

Get seaside and explore the 28 miles of uninterrupted coastline with pristine beaches, dramatic cliffs, old-growth forests, and six state parks along the way.

Long Beach is known for its dramatic skies, so if you’re there, be sure to catch a sunset after spending time building some sand castles.

As part of your visit, be sure to walk on the Long Beach boardwalk, which was ranked as one of the top eleven in the nation by Travel & Leisure Magazine. It stretched for half a mile over the windswept dunes, and it is described as a “great way to take in the view and relax.”

The Long Beach Peninsula is also known for its “ultra-fresh seafood, especially its oysters,” according to Visit The USA.

“Willapa Bay is one of the top-producing oyster regions in the world. The historic village of Oysterville at the peninsula’s north end offers sweeping views of the bay,” they add.

And if that’s not enough, this area has whale watching, and you can go horseback riding too.

For kite lovers, a visit to the World Kite Museum should also be on your list!

Long Beach truly is a great place to visit for its charming seaside ambiance, the abundance of sand to explore, wildlife to be seen and so much more.
