Brrr… Here’s a look at the extended late fall forecast in Washington

Autumn may have just started but before you know it, the holidays and late fall and winter will be here. So why not see what’s in store for the region? Here’s a look at the extended late fall forecast for Washington state.

All in all, the Farmer’s Almanac predicts that “winter temperatures will be colder than normal, with below-normal precipitation and snowfall.” This will be felt during mid-November, late December, and mid-January as they will be the coldest months. They say winter here but keep in mind that winter doesn’t officially start until December 21st.

At this time, the Almanac predicts an average temperature of 44° in Washington during November.

From November 1st to 7th you can expect rainy weather then some sun but overall cold. The weather will be similar from November 8th to 19th with rainy periods, some sun and more cold. And then things get colder from November 20th-30th when periods of rain are expected to begin.  Now that being said, keep in mind the predicted precipitation is 5″ which is actually 1″ below average.

The Almanac has yet to release its full predictions for December, however, their overall 12th-month model does how both lower-than-average temperatures and precipitation. All in, get your jackets out because late fall is looking chilly here in Washington.

As always, we’ll keep you updated with the details as they become available, until then, stay cozy.
