Seattle is a lucky city in that our downtown waterfront has its very own pier system because well, not every city can say that. While the downtown waterfront is certainly unique in its offerings, Washington has several scenic boardwalks that you can visit. Here’s where to find them.

If you want to take an adventure up north you can check out Boulevard Park. The park has many amenities but the reason why we’d visit is for the overwater boardwalks, Paddle Point Trestle, and Taylor Dock. You’ll also find barbeque grills, a beach, a fishing dock, and even food concessions.

This boardwalk stretches almost half a mile through rolling dunes and is only a short walk from downtown Long Beach. You can stroll down the boardwalk and view the water or watch the sunrise over the Willapa Hills. If you watch carefully you might just see some wildlife like whales.

Westport’s Fishermans Boardwalk is a great place to check out sights of the marina. You can of course also stroll the beach and climb the nearby lighthouse if you feel up to climbing some stairs.

Enjoy the Washington boardwalks!
