Who doesn’t love apple picking in the fall? If you’re on the hunt for a charming orchard to visit that’s not too far from Seattle, you’re in luck! According to USA Today’s 10best, Bellewood Farms in Lynden Washington ranks among the 10 best apple orchards in the country!
Bellewood Farms is a family farm spread over 62 acres of stunning farmland in the Whatcom County area of Washington state.
The Lynden orchard features 31 acres with 22 different varieties of apples. They also have a second orchard nearby in Ferndale with 15 acres of the farm’s famous Honeycrisp apples and pears.
Come for the apples, stay for the vibes!
Bellewood Farms offers U-pick apples every Wednesday to Sunday from 9 AM to 3:30 PM in September and October. They also have a pumpkin patch that opens on Saturday, September 28th. Pick what you like, and enjoy breakfast or lunch at the on-site Ten Mile Cafe & Bakery along with hot cider, specialty cocktails, and a cozy bonfire.
If you feel like shopping, the Bellewood Farms Specialty Market & Gift Shop and Bakery is open year-round. It’s one of the best places to get fresh, locally grown fruits, tasty products made on the farm, and unique seasonal gifts.
If that wasn’t enough, Bellewood Farms is also one of Washington’s first true “farm-to-glass” apple distilleries. They grow premium quality fruit that is transformed into award-winning Brandy, Vodka, and Gin. Stop by the tasting room to try them for yourself! It’s open Wednesday to Sunday from 9 AM to 4 PM.
