Looking for an affordable getaway this summer or perhaps a staycation? Why not get both right here in Washington? FamilyDestinationsGuide surveyed 3,000 families to find out which affordable destinations they would most like to visit in 2023. It turns out 5 of the 175 options are here in our state.

Rose Ackermann, of FamilyDestinationsGuide.com points out that “Affordable’ does not mean ‘inferior or ‘second-rate.” Rather, “The budget-friendly travel sphere is bursting with choices, offering everything from breathtaking outdoor experiences to cultural immersion, charming local accommodations, and gastronomical delights that won’t break the bank.”

What’s more, their findings suggested a turn away from more expensive resort locations like what’s in Hawaii or Florida.
