Still searching for eclipse glasses for the upcoming celestial event? The countdown is on for the total solar eclipse and this eyewear shop in Canada is handing out free, ISO-certified shades to see the event unfold, until supplies last.

Starting April 1st, Warby Parker will be handing out free eclipse glasses at their Canadian locations for a limited time only.

“As avid supporters of sharp vision, we want to make sure you have everything you need to safely witness this rare event,” shares the brand.

Residents can pick up a pair or two in person at locations in Toronto, Mississauga and Vancouver.

Though you won’t be able to see the total solar eclipse in Vancouver like some others in Ontario, there will still be a partial total eclipse – weather permitting.

Warby Parker has partnered with Astronomers Without Borders (AWB), a non-profit organization that builds community through astronomy.

And in an effort to “achieve their goal of cultivating a diverse, international community that engages astronomy enthusiasts and educators,” Warby Parker will be collecting gently-used eclipse glasses until April 30th, 2024, to give back to the AWB, along with donating a financial contribution.

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to call ahead to see if there are any in stock so you’ll have to test your luck. If they do happen to run out, they’ll give you an eclipse pinhole projector.

Don’t miss out on this incredible event and get your glasses ASAP.
