While the Washington State Fair is the big fall festival everyone looks forward to, you don’t want to miss Walla Walla Fair & Frontier Days. The celebration has been happening since 1866, that’s 156 years if you’re counting. So why not partake in this age-old Washington celebration?

Like other fairs around the state, Frontier Days are a mix of cute farm animals, concerts and carnival rides. What sets Frontier Days apart though is unique events like a classic car show, demolition derby and also a PRCA rodeo. It’s perfect for those of you wanting a classic fair experience with something a little extra.

The catch with Frontier Days is that you have much less time to enjoy it. The fair only runs through the first weekend of September so if you’re planning on going keep in mind you’ll be having some jam-packed days. But it’s well worth it to get to experience one of our state’s oldest fairs.

You can purchase tickets for all events and general gate admission online. If you’d like to learn more about the fair and frontier days you can visit the fairgrounds website.
