Step back in time on this vintage streetcar ride through an Ontario forest

There’s a magical streetcar ride experience in Ontario that takes you on a trip through the woods. The Halton County Radial Railway has vintage streetcars, and it’s a must-do this summer.

All aboard!

The Halton County Radial Railway is a full-size operating electric railway and museum in the town of Campbellsville, Ont.

The railway offers unlimited historic streetcar rides on 2 km of scenic track, access to the grounds, display barns, and the historic Rockwood Station.

You can also browse the gift shop for unique, railway-inspired treasures before settling onto a vintage bench. Close your eyes, feel the breeze, and imagine commuting through town in the 1920s. It’s a total main-character moment.

Look out the window and take in the stunning views of the hardwood forest throughout the 20-minute ride.

Although the streetcar ride is short, you can take as many trips as you’d like with your admission ticket — it’s unlimited.

This fascinating place currently has more than 75 vintage streetcars, buses, trolleybuses, and other vehicles.

The Halton County Radial Railway is open five days a week from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays until August 31, 2025.

Then from September to October, it is open on Saturdays and Sundays, including holidays, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
