This Ontario park with vibrant foliage offers serene beauty & peaceful riverside views

Picture this: Crisp autumn air and stunning foliage take over some of the most wonderful landscapes of rolling hills in Ontario. From scenic trails to peaceful riverside views, and jaw-dropping sunsets. here’s why a visit to Driftwood Provincial Park is a must, especially in the fall.

Head northeast towards the area of Petawawa, Ontario and enjoy some fall fun. According to Ontario Parks, here you’ll find panoramic views of the beautiful Upper Ottawa Valley and rolling Laurentian Hills.

Known for its beautiful sunsets, Driftwood is the perfect fall adventure and one you should consider for a fall camping trip.

Per Ontario Parks, Ottawa Campground is the larger campground with two-thirds of the park’s campsites located here.

However, if you don’t plan on camping at Driftwood Provincial Park, you can still enjoy its amenities to the fullest degree.

Grab your bike and hit the main park roads or why not embark on a journey along one of its trails.

Ontario Parks says that Driftwood is known for its spectacular sunsets and trails, which are especially beautiful as the leaves transform into shades of orange, red, and gold.

There are two trails to enjoy. The Chevrier Creek Trails are composed of four loops that vary from 1.3 km to 3.7 km.

The Oak Highland Trail features a 1 km riverview loop and 2.5 km beaver pond loop. For that lookout shot, you’ll want to embark on the latter.

You’ll take on a steep climb that ends with a viewpoint offering panoramic sights of the Ottawa River. Be sure to time this trek to arrive during golden hour — you won’t regret it!

Another outdoor experience would be a fall canoeing trip. Glide along the water, past vibrant autumn leaves and take in the peaceful sights as Ontario’s landscape transforms for the season.

Add this park to the list of where to see the best fall foliage in Ontario and plan a trip!
