Vancouver’s new interactive patio map has over 400 spots & is giving away tons of prizes

What’s better than a nice summer day spent on a patio enjoying some delicious food and bevys? We’d say, not much. But as much as we’ve always loved our great city, the biggest downside to patio season has only ever been the lack of spots. That was, until this year. ‘Cause lucky for us, Vancouver’s outdoor dining scene has been blessed with tons of new patios, bringing us to a count of over 400!

Recovered from your shock yet? Good, ‘cause the good news doesn’t stop there. In an effort to come together and support local restaurants after what’s been a very difficult year, and encourage people to check out the amazing dining spots around the city (both new and old!), 15 neighbourhoods have teamed up to bring us PATIO.

So, what’s it all about?

Well, in addition to just being an unreal celebration of 15 of our fave neighbourhoods encouraging us to soak up to sun (and grab a bite… and grab some drinks), PATIO is full of voting contests, weekly prizes, and perhaps the greatest gift of all – an interactive patio map.

If navigating 400+ patios sounds like it could be a slightly difficult task, your issue has been solved before it ever even happened. The map features over 400 patios and is equipped with a detailed toggling functionality. So, whether it’s last-minute plans that require an open patio asap, a dog-friendly spot (can’t leave our pups out), heated patios, or even just lookin’ to find a new go-to spot by your place… this is ‘the’ map you’ve always needed, Vancouver.

Plus if you’re looking to make the most of your summer with a staycation and some killer deals, they’ve got it covered. Booking a stay at a downtown hotel will get you a $50 prepaid PATIO gift card to use at a participating restaurant. And, you’ll get another $20 credit against your bill. That’s a total of $70 to enjoy, team!
