If it’s free, it’s for me. If you’ve been looking for fun and affordable ways to get out of the house with the family, mark Sept. 19 on your calendar. For one day only, Science World will be offering free admission as part of the Tech-Up Showcase.
“The Tech-Up Showcase focuses on making STEAM subjects—science, technology, engineering, art & design, and math—accessible to everyone, regardless of age or experience,” shares Science World.
The festivities will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with entry available on a first-come, first-served basis. That means if you’re planning on attending, arriving early will be in your best interest.
Science World also has a list of “things to know before you visit” to make your trip as seamless as possible.
They recommend dressing for rain or shine, as lines may be outdoors, and to bring snacks and water. Science World also notes that there will be no re-entry for visitors, the Dome Theatre is on pause (under renovations), single-use lockers may be limited, and that if you’re feeling under the weather, it’s best to stay home.
The day will also feature a full lineup of activities and performances, like robot coding and an opportunity to get hands-on with Lego Education programmable robots.
Fun, educational, free. Can you think of a better way to spend Friday with the fam?
