Here’s everything coming to Vancouver’s ‘biggest Pride season’ this year

The countdown to Vancouver Pride 2024 has officially begun, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to celebrate what is set to be the biggest Pride season the city has ever seen!

According to the Vancouver Pride Society, this year will see over 40 events across the city, including the two-day VanPrideFest, the annual Vancouver Pride Parade, and East Side Pride, which kicks things off a month earlier on Saturday, June 22nd at Grandview Park.

Every year, Vancouver hosts a variety of ticketed, free, and low-cost events to celebrate the 2SLGBTQ+ community and the incredible art and talent to come out of it – as well as those working towards creating greater inclusivity in our city.

This year’s Pride festivities will build on those before, showcasing “the rich tapestry of our local Queer communities” through “eclectic” performances and activations.

New this year? A Queer Rights Summit at Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre, which will address the urgent challenges faced by the Queer community in Canada and beyond.

The conference marks an important step for Vancouver Pride in creating a platform for advocacy and change.

Here’s everything coming to the 2024 Canada Pride Festival in Vancouver (so far):

  • July 26th: Opening Ceremony at Davie Street Lounge
  • July 29th: Learning Series & Queer History Panel (virtual)
  • August 1st to 3rd: Queer Rights Summit at Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre
  • August 3rd to 4th: VanPrideFest at Concord Pacific Place
  • August 4th: Vancouver Pride Parade at Pacific Boulevard and Beach Avenue
  • August 4th: Closing Ceremony at Granville Island Lounge
