Vancouver just got a cute new spot for katsu sandwiches and more

We absolutely love sandwiches, and we’ll be the first to admit that katsu sandwiches, in particular, are some of our favourites. So, when we heard about Yuzu, a new spot in Mount Pleasant, we knew that we had to share the news with you. Let’s check it out!

Yuzu only opened last week, on Wednesday, July 3rd. They’ve opted for a small, but surprisingly varied, menu that specializes in sandwiches and desserts. For sandwiches, you can choose between pork katsu, ebi, teriyaki chicken, beef, tamago and even tofu. Basically, all the staples of this delicious, comfort food lunch option.

As for the desserts, expect a variety of puddings ranging from classic flavour to yuzu panna cotta. Whew, we were scared there that we wouldn’t able to grab something with the name in there! Well, those fears have been put to rest, and we’re happy about it.

Of course, the dedication to Japanese convenience store packaging makes these sandwiches perfect as grab and go options. And yes, we’ll admit that your friends will all ask you about it if you post a little teaser on social media. Who can resist such a cute sandwich!

Not us, that’s for sure.
