The Vancouver International Jazz Fest is returning with over 100 concerts

Even with our less refined tastes, it’s hard not to get jazzed up about the return of the Vancouver International Jazz Fest this summer! Especially because it’s coming back in a big way, with a huge lineup spread over an entire week of fun.

Now in its 36th year, the TD Vancouver International Jazz Fest is a great opportunity to enjoy both local and international talent. Venues across the city are joining in, including spots downtown, on Granville Island, and some of the city’s most notable venues.

Meanwhile, the lineup more than lives up to the festival designation. At the time of writing, there are a whopping 140 different performances planned. What’s more, these range from legends in the genre (like the Grammy award winners Buddy Guy and Cécile McLorin Salvant) to modern stars (GoGo Penguin) to local favourites.

As for tickets and passes, you’ve got a few options as well. You can already buy tickets for some of the major performances, but there will also be a variety of festival passes and bundles made available in the coming weeks. You’ve got options, basically.

This huge jazz festival kicks off on June 24th, and ends on July 3rd. We’ll make sure to remind you about it closer to the dates, but definitely keep this in mind for some summer fun around the city!
