Attention, job searchers! Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is hiring for over 20 jobs across its departments right now, and one of them might just have your name on it. With mostly full-time positions available, now is a great time to apply if you’re looking for a solid place to enter the next chapter of your career.
As the airport is open 24 hours a day, some applicants may be required to work outside of the typical nine-to-five if they land their role. So whether you’re a night owl, an early riser, or prefer a standard work schedule, there are options here.
Job categories include Administrative Support, Airport and Airfield Operations, Infrastructure and Maintenance, Planning & Engineering, and Human Resources, to name a handful.
What’s more, the Vancouver Airport Authority is a certified Living Wage Employer, which means all employees are paid at or higher than the designated living wage in BC.
“YVR is a living wage employer and we strive to create an environment to help you reach your full potential, so you have what it takes to help us serve our community.”
Beyond this, the airport offers its employees a range of comprehensive health and wellness benefits, 24/7 access to an onsite fitness centre, financial incentives, time off programs, and perks.
The latter includes an incentive for those who commute to work using green options (bike, transit, etc). Employees also enjoy easy access to on-site medical & dental clinics, dry-cleaning services, restaurants, and shopping.
Finally, YVR offers a flexible work model to many of its employees, allowing them to work from home up to twice a week (depending on their role).
Good luck, applicants!
