Every spring, Vancouver transforms into a beautiful sea of pink, and the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival returns to celebrate one of the most beautiful times of the year. Tens of thousands of cherry blossom trees bloom around the end of March, giving Vancouverites the ultimate reason to dress up and go on a long, leisurely walk.
The festival not only commemorates the beauty of the trees themselves, but the local art they inspire every year. And best of all? Everyone is encouraged to participate.

Through guided tree walks, an international-wide Haiku contest, a Japanese fair, and more – the annual Vancouver Cherry Blossom Fest has something for everyone. Guests can sample Japanese food and premium sake at the Sakura Days Japan Fair, as well as experience a traditional tea ceremony, Japanese theatre and crafts, and taiko drumming performances.
