This year marks the 50th anniversary of the hip-hop genre, and as such, there are many celebrations happening around the globe to recognize the art form’s cultural expansion. Particularly, the impact Black artists and activists have made in the industry and beyond. In Vancouver, this takes form through the second annual Black Culture Celebration – an all-day family-friendly festival with an incredible lineup of performing artists.

In addition to a full day of outdoor concerts by the beach, visitors can expect to load up on food truck eats, enjoy beer garden tiers, and dance the night away.
