Who’s ready for some book fair nostalgia? With over 80 publishers and artists from across the globe, the Vancouver Art Book Fair is bringing two days of literature, crafts, and visual art to the city for Canada’s longest-running international art book fair.
As the first in-person fair in five years, we couldn’t be more excited to check it out!
Fair attendees will see the works of publishers from China, South Korea, and the U.S., from DIY zines to elaborately printed artist books. And if weather permits, the doors will open to allow visitors to enjoy a bite from food trucks at Turntable Plaza and dance to live DJ performances.
Best of all? The fair is completely free to attend!

The Fair will also feature a panel discussion on zines in collaboration with the Vancouver Art Gallery and its latest exhibition, Copy Machine Manifestos: Artists Who Make Zines.
Note that select talks will be streamed online for those unable to attend.
The 11th Vancouver Art Book Fair will take place at the Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre from 11 am to 9 pm on July 26th and from 10 am to 6 pm on July 27th.
On July 28th, a symposium on art publishing will take place from 10 am to 5 pm at the Emily Carr University of Art & Design.
