Toronto has a new rooftop dining experience, and it’s located on the rooftop of Hotel X. Valerie is officially open to the public, and here’s what you need to know about this new spot.

According to Valerie, the space takes up two floors and is inspired by nostalgia and the energy of the roaring ’20s. It is described as an “interactive dining destination complemented by unobstructed, sweeping views of the beloved Toronto skyline and waterfront. More than that, Valerie is mysterious and elusive, she symbolizes independence, confidence and sensuality but most of all, she is an entertainer.”

The team behind the new restaurant say they want guests to have a “truly unexpected and unforgettable experience” on this 28th floor spot. Expect live music, entertainment, performers and DJs, who will fill each room day to night, “making no day at Valerie the same.”

The menu here features Japanese-inspired plates and light bites, new-style sashimi, rolls and nigiri, as well as Hamachi Crudo, Wagyu Katsu, Short Rib and a Maitake Mushroom. As for the drinks, each cocktail is said to share a piece of Valerie’s story, from force carbonated libations and barrel-aged creations to Valerie’s signature serves. When you visit, try the recommended 24 Hours in Toronto and Lucky Number 13.

Valerie’s 28th floor is open seven days a week from 10 am to 10 pm. Floor 27 is open Friday through Sunday from 7 pm to late, and the rooftop is open Tuesday through Sunday from 3 pm to late.
