A free pop-up in the city? I’m there. Union Winter is one of Toronto’s most highly anticipated seasonal pop-ups, transforming a portion of Union Station into a seasonal oasis. This year, the festivities will run from Nov. 26, 2025, to Jan. 18, 2026, featuring an indoor roller skating rink with free admission and rentals.

“Union Winter is one of the most joyful transformations of the year,” says Lawrence Zucker, CEO of Osmington Inc. “Union Station is more than a place to pass through; it’s where Torontonians come to gather, celebrate, and connect. The Roller Express captures that spirit perfectly, turning a historic landmark into a vibrant, inclusive community space right in the heart of downtown.”

The rink is a great spot to bring the family for a day out of the house, and there’s even free skating lessons offered for those who need them.

There’s also themed DJ skate nights and 19+ evening events!
