A new month, and a new roundup of some of the biggest TV shows filming around Vancouver! While we don’t have some absolutely wild names in production right now, there are still quite a few in the works, and with celebs to match. From fan favourites to new projects, there’s a lot to keep your eyes peeled for.
Here are some of the biggest TV shows and series filming around Vancouver this month.
Blockbuster – Season 1

A couple of Netflix projects to kick things off? You bet! Featuring Melissa Fumero, Randall Park, and JB Smoove among others, the series will depict the lives and hijinks of the employees at the last Blockbuster store in existence. Pretty funny premise, if you ask us.
The Night Agent – Limited Series
For something a little more serious, we come to The Night Agent. Based on a book of the same name, this project (starring Gabriel Basso and Luciane Buchanan) is about a low-level FBI agent who uncovers a decades-long conspiracy. Sounds like fun!

The Fall of the House of Usher – Limited Series
I’m elated to welcome my dear friend, the brilliant BRUCE GREENWOOD to THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER as the iconic Roderick Usher. This will be our 4th collaboration (because yes, I absolutely count the background ghost cameo in HILL HOUSE). https://t.co/ya6QOQcX72

When it comes to spooky limited series, Mike Flanagan can do no wrong. Inspired by an Edgar Allan Poe short story, this project has a long list of big names attached to it, but we can’t help getting most excited about Mark Hamill joining the party. Things wrap up this June.
SHOGUN – Limited Series
This epic miniseries is currently in the works for FX. It’s the director that has the star power here- Frederick E.O. Toye’s extensive resume includes everything from episodes of The Boys to American Gods to even an episode of Lost. Naturally, we’ve got high hopes for this latest project.
Cruel Summer – Season 2

The 90s anthology thriller, set in Texas, has moved to Vancouver for its second season! Ironically the first season is only available on Freeform, an American streaming platform, but we’re hoping Disney+ will pick it up in time for the Season 2 premiere.
Snowpiercer – Season 4
Kind of Netflix-adjacent, since the series is for TNT but really got hot on the streaming platform. Building off of the 2013 Bong Joon-Ho movie, Snowpiercer has some seriously big names on board, including Jennifer Connelly and Sean Bean.
Riverdale – Season 6

What’s this list without some series that are synonymous with TV shows being filmed in Vancouver? This ensemble show has really kicked the plot up a notch (or four) in recent seasons, so we’re excited to see what goes down in this next one after production winds down in June. Please bring back Camera Duels before then, Cole.
The Flash – Season 8
In a similar vein, The Flash has been one of The CW’s best superhero series, having just been renewed for another season. Maybe it’s time for us to start watching, considering a feature length movie (with Ezra Miller and Michael Keaton) is set to come out next year.
A Million Little Things – Season 4
Created for ABC, this drama series has become a major player in our local production industry. The series is set in Boston, and follows a group of friends as they navigate life and their relationships following an unexpected death of a group member.
