The day (or should I say night) is almost here! Halloween will soon take over the city with parties, decorations, and of course, trick-or-treaters. While trick-or-treating has gotten less popular and has been replaced with “trunk-or-treating,” rumour has it that the door-to-door variety is making a comeback. With that being said, if you’re planning on venturing out on Halloween night, you’re going to want to make it good. I’ve put together a list of the best neighbourhoods in Toronto to trick-or-treat, so all you have to do is find parking.

High Park

Word on the street is that Pacific Avenue is one of the best streets for trick-or-treating, so much so that some residents see up to 500 kids!

High Park, in general, is a great area, as it has a ton of homes. The best part? It’s easy to get to on transit.

Greek Town

Another great residential area is Greek Town. You can’t go wrong with any of the streets between Broadview and Pape.

Last year, I saw tons of amazing decorated homes in this spot, and I just knew they were gearing up for plenty of trick-or-treaters.

Leaside

I have some friends in Leaside, and according to them, it’s the place to be for big candy bars.

Again, this is a residential area that has plenty of homes that will be awaiting trick-or-treaters. And as someone who used to work in the area, I can say that it’s also known for being very safe.

Ward’s Island

Apparently, the residents of Ward’s Island love Halloween and go all out for the trick-or-treaters. I don’t know anyone who’s hit up the island for the special evening, but my research showed that it’s a super cool option.

Forest Hill

Another neighbourhood where full-sized candy bars seem to be the norm. If you live around Midtown and are trying to find a place to go on Halloween, let it be here.

The Beaches

My personal favourite residential area of Toronto, and as someone who lived there, I know that Beaches residents love going all out for Halloween.

The Beaches is a quiet area, but still packed with homes that will be waiting to hand out candy.
