Surfs up for Santa Claus! Toronto’s getting a holiday bar infused with the tropics this festive season and it’s Old Saint Nick like we’ve never seen him before.

Premiering in New York City back in 2015, Sippin’ Santa is the companion pop-up to Miracle, the ultra-festive Christmas bar also making its way to Bloor St this November. The event partnered with tiki-lover Jeff “Beachbum” Berry back in 2018 and has since appeared in cities all over the U.S. and Canada.

After a hiatus in 2020, Sippin’ Santa confirmed to Curiocity that the bar will be returning in November with another jolly-meets-beachy pop-up.

As for the cocktail menu, you can expect the professionally-developed signature flair of the Miracle experience with a tropical twist.

This year, both bars will be opening up at Bloor St W and Ossington Ave, just steps away from Civil Liberties. So you can do both in one night for all the holiday spirit you can handle.

Rock your best Hawaiian shirt or your ugliest Christmas sweater, or incorporate both into one confusing festive look. You’ll fit right in at these two pop-ups and their merry and bright decor.

There are so many incredible events to check out around the city to celebrate the festive season. A holiday fair with rides and larger-than-life displays is coming to Bandshell Park and a majestic snow festival drive-thru is opening up at Ontario Place. You can see the full list of November’s enchanting lineup of events here.

It may be getting cold out there, but that just means that we can start counting down the day to festive times ahead. Ready to hang loose with Father Christmas himself? You don’t have much longer to wait.
