Attention, bookworms! The annual Treasures Sale at the Toronto Reference Library returns this week and there are thousands of books up for grabs.

The book sale is a chance for the public to score donated items and materials withdrawn from the library’s collection.

At the Treasures Sale, you can get incredible deals on first editions, rare, and collectible books for a couple of quarters.

Most of the books are priced from 50 cents to $5, with the majority of the items priced at $1.

Shoppers are asked to bring their own bag and patience because lineups are pretty much guaranteed. This is Toronto’s best book sale of the year, after all.

Admission to the sale is $3 on the opening day, which is this Thursday, September 15. After that, admission is free on both Friday and Saturday.

Debit and credit are accepted for all purchases, except for the $3 admission fee on Thursday.

If that’s not enough, you can also shop at the library’s largest book sale locations, BookEnds North and BookEnds South.

BookEnds North is located on the concourse level of the North York Central Library, and BookEnds South is at the Toronto Reference Library. Operating hours and details can be found here.

Now that we’ve made it all the way (or at least halfway) through our summer reading list, now’s the time to stock up on books for the seasons ahead.
