While Toronto gets a ton of concerts every year, there’s no getting around the fact that the Taylor Swift Eras Tour is going to be different. Swifties are travelling from near and far to come to see the global icon as she takes on six Toronto shows between November 14th and 23rd.

And, it is almost time. Over a year since her tickets first went on sale, the city is finally about to fill with the magic (and slight chaos) of thousands of Swifties and here are all the ways Toronto will transform.

Taylor Swift Toronto takeover

Swifties will be welcomed by a wave of experiences including a small touch added by the City of Toronto.

First up, stay on the lookout for 22 street signs that say “Taylor Swift Way”. This honorary route connects Nathan Phillips Square to Rogers Centre for the month of November to celebrate the Eras Tour in Toronto.

To find the signs, you can make your way along Queen Street West, John Street, Front Street and Blue Jays Way between Nathan Phillips Square and Rogers Centre, where all 22 signs will be installed.

Once you’ve snapped your photos and checked out the downtown route, head east to the Distillery Winter Village. Here, Swifties can enjoy a ‘Swiftie Holiday Hunt’ to win specially crafted friendship bracelets.

The Winter Village will also have Taylor Swift-themed cookies and friendship bracelets available for purchase, all running from November 13th – 24th.

Just down the road from Rogers Centre where Taylor will be performing, the Taylor’s Version Taylgate will be happening at Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

The Taylgate will take place from 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM on all six Taylor Swift Toronto show dates from November 14th to 16th and November 21st to 23rd featuring Bracelet exchanges, glam stations, photo ops, concert-ready merch, and other interactive elements for fans who either didn’t get tickets to a show, or just want to celebrate before and after the concerts with fellow Swifites.

A hub for all things Taylor Swift

With all the fan-centred activities happening in Toronto, it’s clear just how impactful these six shows will be on the city.

As the Touring Sponsor of Taylor Swift and The Eras Tour, Marriott International will take on all the excitement that’s heading here first-hand.

Speaking to Curiocity, Laura Pallotta, Regional Vice President of Sales & Distribution in Canada for Marriott International shares that the surge will be “unforgettable”.

“The impact The Eras Tour has had on travel is undeniable,” states Pallotta. “Fans used to wait for their favourite artists to play in their hometown, but now they are actively chasing their passions and travelling anywhere in the world for them.”

“We witnessed this first-hand in our hotels all through the first leg of the tour and this continues as her tour enters Canada.”

According to Pallotta, Marriott was inspired by “what Taylor Swift created”, a once-in-a-lifetime experience that “envelops her fans in the music they have a deeply personal connection to among their fellow fans.”

In that, select hotels in Toronto will have custom festivities that fans can take part in.

The Sheraton Centre is one of the Marriott’s hotels that’s a quick trip to the Rogers Centre and will act as a hub for all things Taylor.

Swifties can enjoy a glam bar and custom lip gloss station, a Taylor Swift-themed menu, a 360 photo booth and a bracelet-making station to create friendship bracelets in advance of the concert.

Dual Citizen, located in the lobby, will have their special menu from November 14th to 16th and November 21st to 23rd.

From 11:30 AM to 5:30 PM on those same dates, the glam bar and lip gloss station in the lobby can be booked for $40 per person.

The bracelet-making station will also run from November 14th to 16th and November 21st to 23rd from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM while the 360 photo booth will run on those dates from 1:30 PM – 6:30 PM in the hotel lobby.

Hotels with a Taylor Swift twist

Toronto hotels will be filled to the brim with fans and The Sheraton Centre isn’t the only spot with fun festivities.

One King West will host a handful of activations including a Taylor Swift Photo Booth in the lobby and the hotel’s bistro and bar, Teller’s, will transform into Taylor’s Bistro & Bar. The menu will include Taylor-inspired drinks and food for all to indulge in.

Over at The Kimpton Saint George Hotel, a free Bejeweled Taylor Swift Pre-Party awaits. On November 14th, from 3:00 PM-5:00 PM, there will be friendship bracelet-making, face gems, temporary tattoos, and light bites.

From November 5th -25th, The Gladstone Café at Gladstone House will host The Vault, a secret cocktail menu crafted around “Taylor’s enchanting lyrics and storytelling”. The menu will include eight original drinks inspired by Taylor’s music.

One thing is for sure, there’s no shortage of Swiftie fun in Toronto!
