These 10 Toronto neighbourhoods have the cheapest rent right now

It goes without saying that there’s no such thing as “cheap” when it comes to Toronto’s rent prices. But, some neighbourhoods are far more affordable than others, according to the latest data by Zumper.

The real estate platform says that the average one-bedroom in Toronto right now is $1,995 per month, up 11% from this time last year.

However, depending on where you look, you’ll find one-bedroom rentals for significantly less than the city’s average.

After that is Rouge in Scarborough, where you’ll find rentals for as little as $1,000 per month, and West Hill, also in Scarborough, where the average rent can be $1,343 per month.

By comparison, Toronto’s most expensive neighbourhood of Trefann Court (just south of Cabbagetown) has an average rent price of $3,099.

Here are the 10 most affordable areas to rent in Toronto and the median prices, according to Zumper.
