Toronto Public Library is having a big sale and most books are $1

$1 books? Sign me up. Toronto Public Library is hosting one of its beloved book sales, where shoppers can take advantage of prices as low as 50 cents, with the average book priced at just $1. The sale will run for three days only, so block off your calendar and get ready to shop.

Here’s what to know before you go.

According to the Toronto Public Library, its Christmas Book Sale will run from Nov. 20 to 22, 2025.

The sales will be happening at the Toronto Reference Library, open Thursday, Nov. 20, from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 21, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 22, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“You can buy donated items and materials withdrawn from the library’s collection. Money raised from book sales is used to support library programs and services,” shares TBL.

If you’ve been looking to add to your own collection or grab some reads to give out as holiday gifts, this is the perfect opportunity to stock up.

All shoppers will need to bring their own bags, and admission is $2.
