Toronto is getting a colourful Day of the Dead celebration this weekend

Bright colours, lively beats, and the scent of tacos in the air. Toronto is about to come alive with the spirit of remembrance. STACKT Market is transforming into a celebration of Latin culture for Day of the Dead, and here’s what to know.

On Nov. 1, make your way to STACKT Market to honour the beauty of Dia de los Muertos. This cherished Mexican tradition celebrates life and memory through community, food and art.

What to expect

Guests can expect a vibrant lineup of experiences that showcase Mexican and Latin culture in full.

Dance to live performances by Mariachi Fuego and DJ Ron Jon, along with a Luchador Wrestling Showcase by Demand Lucha, presented by Herradura Tequila.

Get into the spirit with face and body painting by Fizz Mobile, where artists will bring classic Dia de los Muertos looks to life.

You can also shop from local vendors curated by Barrio, supporting Latin-owned businesses offering unique goods and creations.

And what’s a celebration without food and drinks? Sip on Latin-inspired tequila cocktails and enjoy eats from Kong’s Hot Tacos, along with other local vendors.

Whether you’re there to honour loved ones or embrace the community, STACKT’s Day of the Dead celebration is not one to miss.
